Dr. Naresh Trehan
In 1969 Dr. Trehan was one of hundreds of Indians who went to to the United States. By the mid-1980’s was earning over $1.5 million a year as a Manhattan heart surgeon.
Then he did what few Indian doctors do: he came back, prompted largely by the Indians who kept showing up on his operating table and asking why they could not get the same quality of care back home. He was driven to return, he said, by ”a certain amount of arrogance — a kind of national pride.”

Dr. A. K. Venkatachalam
Dr.Venkat acquired his MS in Orthopedics from one of Asia’s busiest orthopedic institutes, The Central Institute of Orthopaedics at Safdarjang hospital, New Delhi. His interests in Joint replacements took him to the UK where he gained extensive training at some of the best hospitals as a specialist registrar. These include Alderhey hospital, Addenbrooke’s hospital, Royal Liverpool hospital etc. He acquired post graduate qualifications from India and the UK
In the UK he got a sound exposure in all super specialties like Joint replacements, revision surgery, arthroscopy, spinal surgery, paediatric orthopaedic surgery, hand and foot surgery and trauma.
He has been working as a consultant in private hospitals in India and abroad for the last twelve years. His teaching appointments include the post of an Assistant Professor at the Chettinad medical college, Tamil nadu, India.
He is presently a consultant at the Chettinad health city’s super specialty hospital.
Dr. Manoranjan Chowhan
Dr. Chowhan is a Nuclear Medicine Consultant, currently heading the Nuclear Medicine Unit in a large quartarnary care hospital in Pune.The Unit has installed latest Time of Flight PET-CT, the first of its kind in Asia.
His professional career spans over 18 years practice in super specialty hospitals of international prominence, leading the Nuclear Medicine Unit. He has been actively involved in medical practice and teaching general Nuclear Medicine, treating patients of thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, neuroendocrine tumors hepatic tumors, painful bone metastases, besides neuroblastomas.
He has expertise in areas of intraoperative localization of sentinel node in breast cancer, melanoma and other tumors where conservative treatment can be planned, thus avoiding painful, mutilating major surgery.
His training in Germany provides him with the expertise to treat cases of arthritis with radionuclides. He is an ex-fellow of TUM, Germany for Molecular imaging and PET-CT. Aside from this, Dr. Chowhan teaches postgraduate doctors and has also researched, published and presented many papers in national and international fora.
Dr. Chowhan has conducted several CMEs in India and the Middle East for doctors and specialists. He has recently addressed the international faculty in Toronto at a Congress held on Carcinoid Syndrome and Neuroendocrine Tumors.

In the past, she has been associated with the Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation And Physical Therapy of Health Ministry of Uzbekistan, as a Doctor and with the Institute’s Department of Cardiology as a Senior Scientific Worker.

Ritu holds a Masters Degree in Applied Psychology. She is a results driven project and program management professional with first rate skills in directing full cycles for complex, multisite programs and initiatives. She has a proven ability to deliver substantial productivity and quality improvement through well managed, on-time projects. Main focus: training, coaching and evaluation. She is certified in the field of stress management, and supports patients in dealing with issues of coping with the effects of ill health.
Ritu is engaged in projects with UNFPA, WHO, and VIMHANS, and is well known in the field of mental health for her work with school principals, teachers and children in India and in Indonesia. She has been Head of the Psychology Department of Delhi Public School, and worked with the Crimes Against Women Cell, Delhi Police. Her articles have been published by professional journals, such as the Indian Psychology Journal.
